Meeting Locations
Bayou City Pony Club is part of the Rio Grande Region of USPC. Our club is located on the south side of Houston and surrounding areas, and mounted meetings are held at a variety of locations.
Directions to Anderson Road Stables:
3800 Anderson Road, Houston, TX 77053
From the Northeast - From South Loop 610 going West, take 288 exit and stay
on feeder road to Almeda. Turn left on Almeda. Turn right on Anderson
Road. Go 1/2 mile. Turn into gravel drive and metal pipe gate across
from Stables/Hay sign on left.
From the West - Take Beltway 8 south, then east. Exit Almeda and turn left
on Almeda under Beltway. Take a left at Anderson road (second light).
Turn into gravel drive and metal pipe gate across from Stables/Hay sign
on left, 1/2 mile from Almeda intersection.
From Central Houston - Take South Post Oak or Hiram Clark south to Anderson
Road. Turn left. Stables are on left - first gravel drive past Bathurst
Street.
From the Southeast - Come North to Beltway 8 and go West. Exit 288 and
stay on feeder. Turn right on Almeda School Road (past Hooper Road).
Turn left on Anderson. Pass straight through Almeda intersection on
Anderson. Turn into gravel drive and metal pipe gate across from
Stables/Hay sign on left, 1/2 mile from Almeda intersection.
Directions to Sugar Land Stables:
15131 Old Richmond Rd, Sugar Land, TX 77478
From the North - Take Beltway 8 South. Exit Bissonnet and go right (west). Turn left on 6, and right on Old Richmond Road.
From the East - Take 59 South. Exit Airport and take a right (west). Turn right on Burney, left on Belfort, right on 6, and left on Old Richmond Road.
From the South - Take Beltway 8 West to Airport. Go left (west) on Airport. Turn right on Burney, left on Belfort, right on 6, and left on Old Richmond Road.
Directions to Winnie Cross Country Course:
From Houston - Take exit 829 from I10 East and stay on feeder through the stop sign. Go approx 1 mile to Winnie Vet Clinic ( this is after the Quality Inn and Hunan restaurant) and turn in there. There is a gate on the left that leads right into the pasture. OR You may go through the Falconwood gate, code is 4248. If there will NOT be lots of trailers. there is a drive down to a barn where there is a rest room in the tack room.
Directions to Sunrise Equestrian Center:From the East - Go SW on alt 90 into Stafford. Turn left on Avenue E and left again on alt 90 (basically a U-turn). Very quickly on your right you will see Staffordshire bearing off to the right - take it. At the first stop sign (road does not go straight past this point), take a right. Very quickly on your right you will see a dirt drive, with a sign for Sunrise about 50 meters down that road. Take that drive, and turn left just before the Sunrise sign. At the end of that drive, you will see a parking area near the barn.
From the West - Go NE on alt 90 past Avenue E, and bear right on Staffordshire. Then follow above directions.
Directions to Foxfire Farms:
From the Southwest - Take alt 90 towards Houston. At South Post Oak (there is an
overpass there), take a right. Go straight through the light at Allum. Start looking
to your right - it will be not far from Allum on the right. You will see a white board
fence, a white metal gate, and a low sign that says Foxfire Farms. Drive in on
the gravel drive and park in front of the barn.
From the Southeast - Take beltway 8 towards the West. Exit South Post Oak (first
or second exit after 288) and go right (North). Pass through the light at West
Orem. When you pass Lotus and Brookston streets , start looking to your left.
There is a break in the median at the entrance.
From the North - Go South on the West Loop 610 and exit South Post Oak (occurs just as 610 curves around to the East). Continue South on South Post Oak, over the alt-90/Main Street overpass. The next light is Allum - continue straight. You will see the Foxfire Farms entrance very shortly on your right.
Directions to Outback Ranch:
From Southwest Houston - Take South (Sam Houston) Tollway 8 East to FM 865/Cullen Blvd. Exit and take left on Cullen (going North). Turn right on Almeda-Genoa which becomes Allison Road. In less than 0.2 miles the Outback Ranch is on the right at 4230 Allison Road. You will see a green-roofed shedrow barn with shields on it.
From Central Houston - Take 288 South. Exit W. Fuqua/Almeda-Genoa and take a left (go East). Almeda-Genoa becomes Allison Road less than 0.1 miles after crossing Cullen. Ranch is very close on the right at 4230 Allison Road.
From the East- Take loop 610 to 288 and follow directions as from Central Houston.
From the Southeast- Take Tollway 8 West to FM 865/Cullen Blvd, exit and take a right on Cullen (going North) and continue as from SW side of Houston.
Directions To Hodges Ranch:
From the North or East - Take 45 South, and take the FM-646 exit (exit 20). When the frontage road Ys, bear right, toward Santa Fe. Take a right on 646 at the signal and go about 6.5 miles until you come to Hwy 6, where you will take a left. At the next stop light, turn right on FM-646W. Follow 646 until 32nd Street and turn left. Pass about 6 streets on right and left, then take C1/2 Street to the left (it only goes left). The house is in front of you at the end of C1/2 Street, slightly to the left.
From the South or West - Take Highway 6 southeast to Santa Fe. Turn right at the intersection of FM-646, and follow directions as above.
Directions to Southern Breeze Equestrian Center:
From the West and Northwest -Take Tollway 8 South to FM 521/Almeda Road and take a right (South). Address is 3723 FM 521 on the left, past Palmetto Road (about 4 miles south of Tollway 8). To access parking lot, turn left on Jasmine (barn can be seen just past Jasmine).From the North - Take 288 South to Tollway 8 and turn right (going West). Exit at FM521/Almeda Road, turning left (South) and follow directions as above.From the Southeast - Take Highway 6 to the Northwest to Arcola. Take right on FM 521 toward Fresno. Barn will be on the right about 2.5 miles North of Highway 6.Directions to Pine Hill:
From Houston - Take I-10 West toward San Antonio. At about 36 miles past the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8), take the TX-36 exit (exist 720) toward Sealy/Bellville. After less than 1/2 mile, turn left to stay on TX-36 (Meyer Street). Continue on TX-36 for 14.3 miles into Bellville. Turn right on TX-159/E Main Street. Pine Hill is at 142 Hwy 159 East, 1.8 miles from the TX-35 intersection and on the left side of the road, across from a sign on the right giving notice of a rest area ahead. Follow the dirt drive up and to the left of a big metal roofed structure with wooden stalls. Parking is behind the structure or down the hill to the left.
Directions to Tally-Ho Farms:
21115 Blair Road, Conroe
Take I-45 North to the Woodlands Pkwy/Robinson Road exit. Exit and take a right
(going East) on Robinson Road. After about 1 mile, the road will deadend into Hannah
- take a right on Hannah. Take a left on Cox and go over the railroad tracks, then
take an immediate right onto Blair Road. When the road turns to gravel, take the
drive on your left - this is the entrance to Tally Ho Farm.
The above way is a bit indirect, but avoids construction that could be a problem
when pulling a trailer. The more direct route is to exit I-45 North at Rayford/Sawdust
Road (before Robinson) and take a right at Rayford. There is significant construction
in this area. At Richards (there is a signal light there), take a left. Richards
becomes Hannah - just keep going straight. Take a right on Cox, and follow directions
per above.
Directions to White's Park:
White's Park is located off I-10 on Hwy 61. From Houston go east on I-10, go through Baytown and Anahuac/Liberty exits. Take the Hankamer exit, there is a McDonald's, and Exxon on the right corner, turn right at the stop sign and go 1/2 a block to the first road and take a right. This is the White's Park Arena, go to the south end of the arena and park anywhere.
Directions to Hipp's Arena:
From the North - Take 288 South to CR58. Because of construction at this intersection, pass CR58 to the next cross road, do a U-Turn then come back North to CR58 and take a right (going East). (Note that CR58 may not be well marked in the contruction area on the East side of 288). Take a right where CR58 deadends into Del Bello Road. Follow Del Bello Road through a hard left. Then take the next right onto Del Bello Lane. You will see the Hipp's covered arena on your left - turn into the gravel driveway there.
